As the clock ticks away each second until the hour of eight and as I steel my nerves, gather my few remaining wits and gird my loins, locals hold their breath in anticipation of the imminent arrival onstage of the Absolute Monster chaps... Yes, after a hefty absence of summertime adventuring, we are gathered, or will shortly be gathered, in the general Oak street vicinity to unleash the beast that is New Orleans funkiness. We are preparing to bestow greasy New Orleans rhythm and Blues unto the gathered masses, the great unwashed. There, you've been warned.
