dear softball, for as long as i can remember you have been what my life revolved around. every summer, fall, and spring the memories and laughs revolved around that yellow ball no matter where we were. from the moment i picked up a bat in t ball to my final high school game, you were always more than just a sport. while i’m learning to say goodbye to the last 14 years of my life i’d like to thank softball for blessing me with the opportunity to do something that makes saying goodbye so hard. i’ve learned so much from this sport and the people that surrounded me through thick and thin, wins and losses, and the highes of a hit and to the heartbreaks of a strikeout or an error. thank you softball for the friends you made family and the family you brought closer. thank you for the good times but also the bad where you taught me lessons that’ll stick for a lifetime. this game of mistakes took many turns on me that i didn’t know i could get through, but here we are and i can’t imagine going through anything without the reminders and lessons that you gave me. you made me who i am today and i can’t imagine life any differently. i hate that our time has come but thank you for being the solid in my life which never left my side for the past 14 years. no matter what turns are next for me, i’ll always carry a piece of you with me and i’ll forever be grateful for each memory of you. oh and once again thank you softball. #3out
