Absolutely exquisite omakase at @udatsu.sushi.la last night. Chef Udatsu himself is here from Tokyo for just five nights for this once in a lifetime omakase. His restaurant in Tokyo has a Michelin star ⭐️, and he and Chef Suzuki really delivered last night. Check out Tock for tickets to the 5:30 or 8:30 seating (he is here until 9/14). Nonetheless, Udatsu is worth checking off the LA omakase list. It’s $225 per person and includes about 17 courses that change monthly. You have the option to add on luxuries like truffles or caviar to make the meal extra special. I chose to stick with the regular omakase to let the quality of the fish shine. There are also special sushi bites that you can add on to your meal. These bites are even available at the restaurant downstairs @rokusho_la There is the option for a sake pairing for $100 and they have a great selection of cocktails and a delicious house-made yuzu soda.
