According to the Black Pound Report, the multi-ethic consumer is spending around £2.7 billion annually on the health and beauty sector, yet the clearance rack in most retailers far outsizes the shelf space allocated to those same consumers ☺️🙃 Kudos to @lydiaamoah_official for her hard work releasing this essential report - I can only imagine how much hard work, time and energy went into bringing this to life. The report explores everything from workplace biases to comparative spend in the hair/beauty space yet still manages to celebrate us in all of our glory, highlighting our ability to always innovate, create and self-start - against all odds. @raphaelsofoluke is really doing the Lords work! Connecting, storytelling and creating opportunities to make us all the more visible! It is the perfect opportunity however for brands to pay Black talent, Black agencies and Black experts. Employ Black execs and advisors. It is also a great opportunity for retailers and buyers to pay attention to black owned beauty brands taking over the market 😘
