with being on vacation and spending a majority of my time in a bathing suite, i’ve noticed a few extra glances at my scars. most of the time, it’s just curiosity, but noticing the stares has served as a little reminder to myself. every body tells a different story, and mine doesn’t need to fit a mold. the things that set us apart are what makes us real. and maybe, by showing up as i am, it will speak for itself, and it will help others to do the same. 🤎
