Can’t believe the euro trip is over!
.
I’ve met some of the most interesting, inspiring and jovial personalities along the way and that’s truly what made the trip so profound. From astrophysicists explaining quantum mechanics over brunch; digital nomad jewelers sharing their journey into sustainable entrepreneurship, gem dealers teachings about the flawlessness of diamonds, or Bollywood movie stars sharing stories of escaping stardom... this, in my perspective, is the true essence of traveling.
.
This is where the most immense learnings come from. It’s not the physical destination that means so much, but the conversations in these moments that make something stand out. With so many incredible memories over the past 25 years, it’s clear now that many of the epiphanies can be brought to your attention through conversation, connection and self-reflection.
.
Along the way someone mentioned the idea of time being distorted while you’re on the road and it’s absolutely true. 2 hours of conversation in a faraway place with a fellow traveler practically equates to knowing someone for 3 months. The honesty, openness and humility when sharing hardships and learning lessons can’t be matched anywhere else.
.
As I reflect on the journey, it’s invigorating to know that wherever you live in the world and whatever you do with your time, there’s a surprising amount of people who share those same passions as you. On the other hand, I was reminded that the battles you face in your mind should not be fought alone. Especially so, if that means the stress/anxiety/depression might win... so many people around this world struggle with innumerable amounts of hardship and strenuous circumstances, you’ll never expand your understanding if you don’t go out exploring.
