Flo loves swinging, it alerts her nervous system and improves her body awareness. It’s also one heck of a good time! Last summer we reached out to Grosse Pointe Shore’s City administration and the parks committee and asked them to consider installing an ADA accessible swing as there is almost no accessible play equipment in any GP park or recreation area. They agreed without even a moment of hesitation. The GPSIF stepped up to fund this project with full support from the City and from the parks committee. This past week the swings were installed. As you can see, Florence had a truly wonderful time on both of the incredible new additions to our park! Thank you to everyone who saw this through. We’re very grateful and clearly these swings will bring a lot of joy and inclusion to our community. 💗💗💗
