The water project in San Simon is complete and oh what a celebration it was! The women & girls in this community are now freed from spending all day collecting unclean water and have hours each day instead to pursue educations, have paying jobs and create businesses, and spend time with families. Everybody Water helped to fund the project which included an entire integrated water supply system which piped water into 95 households, a school, and community buildings. Every household has a sink, shower, and toilet. Funds also support hygiene education. One of the most important reasons that these projects are sustainable and lasting is because the planning and labor is done by the entire community who is fully invested in it success. #water1st #waterwithaheart #sansimon
