Fun fact: if you heat sand up to 400 degrees, and then funnel it into PVC pipe, the pipes become pliable and easy to manipulate into the shape of your desire. I opted for arches today, but I’m excited to experiment with more shapes. Another fun fact that now seems obvious: your heated sand will most definitely melt the plastic funnel. All is well though, because I got to combine my love of science and art today.
