It’s World Mental Health Day today so we thought we’d let you into a little secret and share a reality behind our wonderful anniversary shoot... while it turned out to be amazing, leading up to it Megan in particular was struggling as we had also planned for it to be a pregnancy announcement shoot. 😢 We had planned to do a 10 year anniversary shoot for a while, and we also said that if by some miracle we’re lucky enough to get pregnant from our 1st IUI, then we’ll incorporate our pregnancy announcement into the photoshoot. As you may know, I (Megan) did fall pregnant and after the official test day, we started planning how to incorporate it into the shoot. We had some custom items made (which we will hopefully use one day soon), and also pinned pregnancy announcement inspo for our photographers. Sadly a few days later I was no longer pregnant so I had to create a completely new inspo board for the Photoshoot. Despite looking forward to doing a special Photoshoot for our 10 year anniversary, I struggled to get mentally prepared for the Photoshoot in the days leading up to it. Luckily on the day we were able to focus on celebrating our love and our fab photographers were hilarious. Plus Whitney gave us some comedy too when we were meant to be sexy but she presented the chair to me like a school teacher 😂 and the champagne spray at the end of the shoot gave us some good laughs! (swipe to see). 😅 Ultimately I’m glad we still went ahead and have these wonderful photos and memories to look back on. Anyways, we just wanted to give you a little insight into instagram v. reality and no matter how perfect someone’s life might seem, you’ll never fully know what’s going on behind the scenes.
