I remember when I first joined Facebook it lasted only three weeks. I told my friends “I have barely survived the real world, why would I add a virtual one?” Many years later I am here on Instagram. I love looking at this daily virtual magazine. I buy antiques and see inspiration. I share what I am working on professionally, but not much more. I occasionally get the funny feeling it reads like a brag machine ( thank you New England upbringing). Alongside the forward to my book I included this self-portrait, which I took while I was at Pratt. This photo was taken after a devastating fire had completely destroyed my home and I was in untold amounts of pain. I have many scars, both internal and external. I am carefully sharing them because I recognize how privileged and fortunate I have been. Just thought I would share this today with you today.
