• Social Distancing • Using my Vespa, I rode around New York to ask friends/fellow freelancers/artist if I can take their portrait from a sidewalk using a telephoto lens. And to share their stories during this uncertain times. ——————————————————————————— “It's been a pretty weird time. I'm a senior in highschool so I missed a bunch of those 'milestone' events like prom and graduation. We're really lucky to live in a time where technology allows you to keep in touch with people. I facetime my best friend every night and we watch movies together. My film Never Rarely Sometimes Always released theatrically on March 13th right before the madness began. Once movies theaters closed, they decided to release the film digitally. The film brings attention to the unjust laws placed on women's reproductive rights in our country. I hope as many people can see it as possible in this time and remember that these issues don't disappear because of the pandemic. While in quarantine I have been a part of numerous online events to raise awareness and discuss the issues presented in the film. Between school and work I don't spend a ton of time at home so it's been really nice to spend time with my mom and siblings. My sister and I recently started painting, mostly watercolor. She draws really beautiful birds and I like to draw cartoons. Our apartment is really small but it's all I could ever ask for.” Talia Ryder #socialdistancing #newyork #corona
