#workoutoftheday - adding accommodating resistance to one of my favorite movements.

Adding chains to traditional lifts mixes things up and keeps it interesting. Chains add more resistance to the top of the rep and adds variability to a traditional movement.

Here we are coupling a traditional front squat with chains(strength) with an empty barbell lunge and jump(speed) to complete a dynamic circuit.

To increase power, explosiveness and athleticism, we always couple a strength movement with a speed movement. Leaving the ground is never required, you can also just explode on the way up and get increased fast twitch muscle fiber recruitment. The overarching theme is matching up heavier external load followed by a lighter load.
