The writing is my own, interpreted and fabricated through another’s breath by @westernneonseattle The background is a construction of plaster of Paris containing gipsum a substance with a significant history in the art world, capitalism as well as personal history. It is hand painted onto this wooden canvas and painted with black acrylic paint. There is the legacy of the coal mine, the multiple excavations and extractions physical, spiritual and mental. Making it feels like a meditation, tapping into the understanding of my body’s need to create, construct and sometimes understand later.
