📸 @el_hardwick Laying in a bush of rhododendrons, literally, full of thought....it’s really heart warming to know that you guys like the new work....feels like such a departure from previous works, Rhododendrons just oozes with beauty and Lotus packs a spiritual punch. The rest just as much and I’m grateful that the songs chose to come out through me, a blessing, reinvigorating....since the release of YPRP in 2019 it feels like I’ve been chasing my own tail. Creatively and personally. Spiralling aimlessly at times, going in circles even stagnating, searching for light.....today I feel quite burnt out, asking the same question I always ask myself....what’s this for? I look to my mentors and friends and heroes for advice, even my spiritual art teacher Jodorowsky...he always entertains me with his passion and the main lesson I left with this time is be bold and fully invested in the work....no room for the insecurities of being cool, or fear of being overlooked...plunge yourself into the mystery and act with illegal ambition...the work always brings some clarity....I’m one that believes making art for art sake is a revolutionary act...pouring your heart into work and sharing it with the world is demanding to be seen and accepted as you are...that’ll always be powerful....adding to the cultural fabric, every endeavour counts.
