Generous Cookie Co. doesn’t make it to year 2 without you. - 17 pop-ups - 3 limited-edition flavors - $878.29 donated to non-profits ($50 donated to @chirla_org for Q4) In 2024, I did 40 pop-ups. In being more intentional with the events I said yes to, revenue was actually slightly higher. While this is positive, the rise in cost of ingredients made this year tough. Example: the Belgian chocolate I use went from $6.54/lb to $11.99/lb 🫠 It’s easy to look at a business or person on social media and think they’re thriving, when they’re really just surviving to see the light of another day. ❤️‍🩹 Running a small business is no joke. And when you do decide to purchase from a small business, that decision of yours truly matters. Just ask any small business owner, and they’ll tell you. I’ve been quiet on here lately, and that’s intentional. I’ve been taking some time to recharge and reset so that I may enter this upcoming seasoned renewed. Personal issues have impacted the amount of effort and the kind of effort I’ve been able to put into growing Generous Cookie Co. I want to make sure that my cup is full so that I can show up from a place of overflow. Given all the circumstances, this has still been a great year. Another chapter in this marathon is complete. I’m still here. I’ll still be baking cookies. I’ll still see you at pop-ups. It’s just going to be at my own pace. The beauty of that is I can ramp things up whenever I want. This venture has always been about bringing joy to people and making a positive impact in our community. That won’t change. More than anything, I’m grateful for small business friends, every single person who has purchased a cookie, and for the people who continue to come back for more.
