I created this piece with one thing in mind, how can I possibly capture the essence of someone like David Bowie? He’s an icon, he played with gender and art and music in ways that challenged the norms of his time. When I first touched his suit, I felt i was talking to him, and all i wanted to say was: Thank you Mr. Bowie, for paving the way for kids like me 💛 it is still so surreal to have worked with HIS ACTUAL SUIT straight from the archive. to share my energy through him has been an experience i’ll never forget.
