When we started this fertility journey we were clueless about all the methods that were out there for us. After long nights of research, we decided reciprocal IVF was the one. We fell in love with the idea of both of us being equally involved in the process. One of us would provide the eggs and the other one would carry our baby. All we wanted was one healthy baby & then as the transfer day approached we decided to try for twins, but triplets never crossed our minds. The doctor didn’t recommend transferring more than one embryo at a time because there were a lot of things to take into consideration. The percentage of one embryo splitting was 0.01%, what were the odds of that happening to us? The final decision was ours so we followed our hearts. And we couldn’t be any happier. Looking back, I can’t imagine us with one baby, or twins... the triplets were definitely meant to be for us and for that, we are forever grateful!
