Rocky has been with us about 9 months now. He was made out to be a monster, aggressive towards humans and dogs and stuck in quarantine at Castaic with minimal interaction. We worked with the volunteers there pleading that they reassess him in a playgroup and he was the sweetest little dude you could even imagine🥺 He went to a lovely temporary foster and was doing so well with her dogs and in the home in general. They live on a very quiet street so he was great on leash there too. We found an amazing adopter for him in a dog friendly complex and immediately discovered he had some severe leash reactivity towards other dogs. This was not aggressive, just uncontrollable excitement. Adopters loved him and were more than willing to work with our trainers, but we collectively decided that he would be better in a place that isn’t oversaturated with that many dogs. Since then , he spent a few months with @k9kommittee and has learned to walk beautifully on leash while politely acknowledging and calmly bypassing other dogs 🥰 He is currently in a wonderful foster home with another dog. His foster, Lucy takes him on adventures to home depot and walks him regularly in populated areas and he is doing amazingggg. Rocky is now searching for a forever home! He is well behaved, potty trained , affectionate, playful, great with other dogs, great on leash , crate trained, so deserving, and he is longing for a home to call his own❤️
