A month ago to mark the 75th anniversary my friends @dishoom held an event to mark independence and partition. We heard stories of joy, heartbreak, escape and legacy. Music from @soumikdatta was soul food, and we all ate delicious food (of course!) After events in London, Birmingham and Manchester I felt a need for people to share their family’s experiences, and for a brief moment that space was created.
