⚠️ READ DESCRIPTION for gear breakdown⚠️ So there are a few things that goes into how this portraits was made with just one light. I’m shooting with a speed light from @godoxlighting into a glow light control umbrella from @adorama that’s 51” in the side of my models face. The size rule of lighting is that the large the source of light the softer it will be, so I put it closer to the model for a softer effect and angled it above her head. However the shadows to be lifted on the other side of her face I put up a white v flat from @vflatworld to have the light bounce off. The camera is shot on is the @sonyalpha 1 with the 24-70mm gm II with the camera (following camera settings) Iso: 100 Focal length: 70 mm F stop: F4 Shutter: 1/200 My lights power was set to 1/64 or if you’re the type to need a light meter then a power of 2.8. The specific light is a Godox Xplor 400 R2 pro TTL. I hope this helps with any photographer on their journey or trying to to switch things up but please know it’s literally not all about the gear and you can do this with whatever you have.
