Last set from my last Nat Geo/Lindblad trip of the summer. Some effort is required for these ones! 1. Bubble netting humpbacks surfacing within their ring of bubbles. If the water was calm we could sometimes see the bubbles coming up before the whales surfaced. If we couldn't, the birds almost always could. 2. Zodiacs returning from the Dawes glacier in Endicott Arm. 3. Another shot of bubble netting humpbacks because this behavior is awesome and I only saw it a handful of times over the course of the summer. 4. Wildfire smoke settles into the Gulf Islands of BC during a super calm morning. 5. Friday Harbor, WA. As I was taking this photo off the bow of the ship, Bigg's killer whales were swimming by the stern. Luckily they provided a great view from land a couple hours later (see my photo of T97 breaching in front of a ferry a couple posts back).
