Precious moments... after missing his 85th and his 86th I was finally able to be there to celebrate his 87th journey around the sun. With all of the uncertainty in the world, I take nothing for granted & feel grateful for every precious moment with those that I love, especially this one. I have been feeling a lot of fear around what the future may look like. It seems while we fight amongst ourselves, over many issues, the changes predicted by climate scientists are happening at an alarmingly accelerated rate & I can’t help but wonder what our world will look like if I am blessed enough to make it to 87. Unless we come together now to make the changes to the way we are living so urgently needed, it seems highly likely that this coastline where we sat will be 9ft under water to name but one devastating result of non action. Someone, I don’t recall who, recently said that we are the first generation to feel the effects of climate change & the last that can do something about it. Let’s stop flighting & start working together & do something, do many things, like our lives depend upon it, because they very well may. And for this moment, I am choosing love over fear, choosing to let love rule, because it does. I love him. #87 #letloverule
