My Hair Journey has taught me so many life lessons. When my ends were dead limp and lifeless I cut them off and let them go. It taught me that holding on to dead things will stifle your growth. Through coloring it and having short styles, it taught me to be fearless,to have fun and be creative. On days I didn’t feel like doing my hair, it taught me patience. Sometimes when I look in the mirror I just admire my hair. Not in a vain way, it just hits different when you can physically see the fruits of your labor. Sometimes I’m just in awe and in a state of gratitude. It teaches me everyday that that I’ve been through so much and started over so many times ultimately I am resilient.
