Want to be able to a Smokey eye? Or increase your speed in application? A pencil is your new best friend! This is the best base for any smokey eye, whether left on its own, or topped with shadows for extra oomph and staying power. Kohls seem to smudge the best for the longest, but you as your speed increases and you get the hang of it a gel pencil will work too (just gotta work a little faster!) Here I am using a @maccosmeticsanz pencil but I also love to do this with my fave @patmcgrathreal PermaGel Ultra Glide pencils. I also love the @charlottetilbury Kohl pencils. A brown or coffee colour is a safe start and suits most people. The key here is to use a small smudge brush (I used one from @kyliesprofessional) and not too much pressure as you graduate outwards. You can do this on bare skin or over foundation/concealer. Set with a little powder or eyeshadow in a similar colour if you are super oily. And add a sparkly eyeshadow shade in the middle of your eyelid for some evening glamour! Give it a try and let me know what you think! My beautiful model is @oliviadonald 😍 #makeup #makeuptips #makeupartist #makeuptutorial #smokeyeye #smokeyeyetutorial #smokeyeyeforbeginners #easymakeup #maccosmetics
