New music video for “She Said,” directed by @animaworks.nyc, is out now #Repost @animaworks.nyc with @use.repost ・・・ We're so proud to announce this video. Jake and Hil co-directed, co-shot and co-produced this on 16mm. The artist, John DeNicola, is Jake's dad. He's pretty much a legend. He did "The Time Of My Life" and "Hungry Eyes" for the movie "Dirty Dancing" in the 80’s, then won an Oscar for it. Jake's mom, Debra Svennson DeNicola, who stars in the video, also has a legendary acting career, studying with Sanford Meisner himself and performing off Broadway and on Network TV. After a long career as a songwriter and producer, John has taken a step toward singing and performing his own work. The album is incredible. The process of making this was so beautiful. We pulled together a bunch of friends and colleagues with the "best vibes only" to star in and work on this project. People from Jake's childhood and hometown came out of the woodwork and pulled out all the stops. We shot it with 500T and 250D, using a combination of BPM, glimmer glass and a split diopter to illustrate the different moods. In terms of visual style, the piece was sort of a mixture of classic Western meets Tarkovsky meets Mandy. A strange hodgepodge that sums up Hil & Jake's collaborative style pretty well, which really flourished in the process of this.
