,,Darko's artistic practice involves an experimental approach in the usage of clay techniques (terracotta, ceramics, porcelain, glaze), combining traditional techniques within the creative process, such as the Japanese Raku technique and its Eastern European modifications (Obvara), pit firing and barrel, and other methods, exploring their possibilities and the visual effects that can be accomplished, by completely exceeding conventional creative frameworks and established methods. He often finds and extracts clay from the ground by himself, processes and purifies it, and then uses it for his sculptures. The creative process is the basis of his practice and should be perceived inseparably from the artwork itself, since it concerns vitalist sculptures of free forms that represent organic growth, the rhythm of nature and the fluid flow of nature’s energy."
