🙇🏽‍♀️✨✨ Two years ago after 27yrs of service and 13yrs in the industry beginning in Philly to NY to LA... I stepped away retiring from a career as an Emmy nominated celebrity hairstylist and Local 706 fish sacrificing so much with the intentions of going from behind the camera to an artist in front of the camera. An early childhood dream I had way before I started doing hair in my moms dining room at 14. I’m so grateful for all the opportunities and queens that I got to work with that poured into me knowingly and unknowingly as talent and as a woman. I’ve made my share of mistakes along the way and will likely make some more, but over all it has contributed to me being able to show up as a well seasoned professional that gets to do what I truly love and always wanted to do. Starting life over both personally and professionally has been the hardest decisions I ever had to make but I’m thankful I followed my gut and didn’t let anything or anyone stop me from becoming who I am and aspire to be. People will underestimate you, just make sure you don’t join them and underestimate yourself.
