Happy 4th , America ! Celebrating with a successful wavy hair refresh tutorial, using the bowl method! This is a follow up video to my previous tutorial on the bowl method for styling wavy and curly hair. I refreshed my hair using no additional products (unless you count water as a product) . If you want to know what products I used, check out my other tutorial on the Bowl Method! I literally just wet my hair in the shower. I didn't even add conditioner. I finger combed/detangled in the shower and then you can see in the video where I'm using a wide tooth comb again to further detangle and set up for the dunking! Because my hair already still had so much product in it, I didn't have any difficulty detangling my hair, but I suppose if you do you could use a leave in conditioner or put some conditioner in your hair and then rinse it out in the shower. You definitely don't want to be yanking on your hair to de-tangle it, so do what you need to do ! Then I followed the exact same process. I dunked my hair in the bowl four times and then scrunched to form clumps. Then I used my microfiber gloves by @curlkeeper (again you can use a microfiber towel or a T-shirt, just don't use a regular towel because they can make your hair frizzy). A little root clip , a little plopping, some air drying, and no diffusing this time because I didn't feel like it. I am SHOOK. I have NEVER been able to successfully refresh my wavy hair like this. If you're wondering why I didn't just wash my hair again, I try to only shampoo my hair once or twice a week. Shampoo can be very drying so less is better. I was super curious to see if the products that were in my hair would reactivate and I'm going to say YES! let's see how this one holds up! Let me know in the comments if you try it!
