If not me, then who? If not now, then when? The SCOTUS decision yesterday, for me and many folks all across the US, is absolutely heartbreaking. 💔 As soon as I heard the announcement, I went to the steps of the Supreme Court to protest and grab a megaphone to SHOUT my story. A story that so few people in my life have heard that I messaged my family members so they heard it from me, first. The story of how 28 years ago I had an abortion. I had to drive from New Hampshire to Maine to get my abortion and it was $350....that my boyfriend and I did not have. These stories can be traumatic to tell, but to fight for the rights of future generations, we need to speak up. I have no regrets about my abortion, and I'll continue to fight for these rights and tell my story because abortion is healthcare and a necessary right for our community.
