Ever since the blast, it hasn’t been easy to articulate my feelings. I almost forgot what it was like living before August 4th.
7 months. It’s been a hell of a roller coaster ride. Destruction. Death. Anger. Rage. Fear. Sadness.
The people we loved, the places we cherished all taken away from us in a blink of an eye. Our city in shambles and no one to hold accountable for all the shattered hearts.I can't believe it's been this long, I can't believe I've pulled through. I lose hope every day but then, I find it in new challenges, in the will to fight that burns in everyone around me.
7 months have passed since the memory I wish I could forever forget. 7 months have passed and everything changed.
7 months of hard work, faith, courage and a very strong passion to rebuild what was taken from us.
Although 978 houses were rebuilt, 500+ jobs were created, 1000+ families were taken care of, the beautiful souls I met aren't done yet.
We refuse to give up. We're here to stay and to fight as much as we can. We will take our country back.
I'm humbled by the change we've been able to create, even though I hope we never had to. Thank you to every single friend along the way, thank you for the help and the trust.
Sending lots of love to those who give me courage everyday, who helped me grieve and for those who granted me my smile back. ❤️🌻
