Am I the only one who misses writing captions? You know the ones filled with heartwarming stories, timely reflections, and thoughtful prompts worth engaging in. Captions seem to be a thing of the past, constantly overlooked in favor of Reels. I long for the days before the noise of short-form videos set in. Along with it came the pressure to churn out algorithm-friendly content. Neither are of interest to me. Instagram used to be my favorite place to hang out. Now it feels like I have to show up on camera daily and "look good" in order to share my work. And the thought of it is exhausting, let alone actually doing it. I know I might sound like a digital dinosaur, and maybe I am, but I realize platforms change. They require us to adapt, but I'm not ready to let go of this type of storytelling. And if you're still here, it's proof that captions are still worth reading. Let me know your thoughts on this in the comments (like we used to!). 💜
