The legacy of soon to be Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is cemented. Swipe left ➡️

 There are many emotions I have concerning the historic nomination, and now confirmation, of soon-to-be Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. To witness her be berated in front of millions, and still be the face of grace and poise; to hear her qualifications and that still not be enough to combat the bigotry that she faced; to be reminded that as a Black woman, even when we clear all the hurdles and cross all of our ts, there is still a chance we may not be seen or accepted; all of this and more is why hearing the final vote today sent chills through my body. 
I am overjoyed and sitting in that joy this weekend as I hear from more Black scholars and leaders who are pushing for a better tomorrow (at the Black Policy Conference at @bsu_hks @harvardkennedyschool). Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. A nice ring to an even more incredible public servant. 
 It's the lasting legacy #JusticeKetanjiBrownJackson that makes her confirmation monumental. It's what her rise to #SCOTUS means for generations of Black women and girls that cements her legacy.
