Donut disturb us while we spend our #selfcaresunday eating these Double Hot Chocolate Collagen Donuts by @wellmadebykiley π€€π© Save & share with all your desert-loving BFFs!
Ingredients:
π« 2β3 cup all-purpose flour
π« 1β3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
π«4 tbsp @vitalproteins Chocolate Collagen Peptides
π«1β4 cup brown sugar
π« 1β2 tsp cinnamon
π« 1 tsp espresso powder
π«1β2 tsp baking powder
π«1β2 tsp baking soda
π« 1β4 tsp salt
π«1 egg
π«1β3 cup milk
π«Optional: 2 tsp white vinegar
π«1β4 cup melted butter
Topping:
π«1β2 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips, melted
π«1β2 cup mini dark chocolate chips
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a donut pan with non-stick cooking spray; set aside.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, collagen peptides, brown sugar, cinnamon, espresso powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. In another bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, vinegar if using, and melted butter until combined.
4. Slowly whisk the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.
5. Then, spoon the batter into a large ziploc bag. Cut the tip of the bag and pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, about 2β3 full for each donut well.
6. Bake for 11-12 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
7. Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack and cool completely.
8. While they are cooling, melt the chocolate in the microwave at 20-second intervals.
9. Gently dip one side of the donut into the melted chocolate, making sure you fully coat it on one side. Then immediately dip in mini chocolate chips if desired.
