4 years, it’s hard to believe I’ve been in the creative industry for this long! I just spent 3 weeks in Tulum, working BTS to bring the “Kolder Creative Masterclass” to life. Reflecting on how I got started on this journey and everything I learned along the way. It was a lot of trial and error but, if I had to narrow it down, these would be my key lessons I learned along the way. Surround yourself with people doing big things. When you build a creative network that challenges you, you’ll expect more from yourself. They can provide constructive feedback on your ideas. And, new opportunities will start coming your way. Be strategic about your network. In order to be great, you have to show up consistently. Honing your craft everyday, becoming 1% better and pushing yourself creatively is what will set you apart. You’ll learn so much more by doing/failing then by always gathering knowledge. Put yourself out there. Don’t hesitate to reach out to a potential client or creator. I believe we’re all one opportunity away from changing our life path and you never know what that one connection or project can lead too. Theres so much more that I’ll share soon but, I hope this helps in some way! 📷 @roberthill
