It’s a been one month since any activity has been visible in the Meradalir valley. While the eruption there has not yet been officially declared over (this only happens after 3 months), it’s pretty safe to say that the eruption is over for now. However, this doesn’t mean the activity at Fagradalsfjall has come to an end completely. Most experts believe we will see more eruptions there and some have even gone as far as to call it the Fagradalsfjall Fires (mouthful I know), which signifies multiple eruptions as part of a larger whole. For now, we will have to wait and see how this will further unfold in the future... Here’s the video I created on the very first day of the short-lived eruption.
