Last week, I had the kind of summer start that resets your pace. Slow mornings, salt in the air, and a villa that feels more like a waking dream. I was invited by @thethinkingtraveller to spend a few days at Castello di Caprarica, a 16th century castle located in the countryside of Puglia. It’s the kind of place where everything feels still but in the best way. Not performative or overdone, just timeless. Mornings started with a quick dip in the pool, espresso in hand, before the sun fully settled into the sky. Afternoons were for lounging, reading, and wandering through the grounds. The group, thoughtfully curated, made every moment feel like a scene from a European summer film. Long, conversational lunches into golden hour aperitivi, followed by dinners under the stars. Local wines, and food that just makes sense in southern Italy. It’s rare to find a space that allows you to fully drop into the moment, the environment, the feeling. This place did exactly that.
