the “greats” always talk about it, but thankfulness works. I’ve found the paradox of when my heart aches, the (at first seemingly forced) mutterings of “what I’m thankful for” starts stripping away old ways. joy follows the thanks and I find that as fast as my mind races, my tongue outruns with gratitude. God’s word works. when my mind is unhealthy, reciting what I’ve memorized over and over until my hands find my Bible brings my mind peace. may we all in this busy season focus on more thanks & more peace. 🤎🕯️
