2021 feels like it came and went.. As Ben and I reflect on the Year, the word that feels appropriate to describe this year is resilience. This year was filled with deep moments of joy and countless moments of grief. We are thankful as we look back for the ways that it shaped us, the ways that we grew and learned. Some of the highlights have been starting my own business and helping people become the best versions of themselves- there’s nothing that fills me with more joy than believing in, championing and encouraging people. Other joys included celebrating Ben and my 10 year anniversary; attending 8 weddings and officiated 4 of those 8; and the joy of traveling internationally again — this was all a gift. But life is not all peachy. There have been moments of excruciating grief as well. From mourning unmet expectations and desires; mourning family relationships. At the same time, we started new relationships with new friends that we call lifers and also continued in depth and strength with our existing NYC community. Thank you 2021 for teaching us resilience through moments of joy and grief and for the ways Jesus used it all for good. 2022, we are ready for you! we’re aware of the unknowns but still have great expectation! We will continue to build and love in NYC! Happy New Year! See you in 2022!!
