“I’ve read through the handbook for the recently conceived; it says live people ignore the strange and unusual... I myself am, the strange and unusual.” LET . ME . TELL . YOU . there is nothing stranger than the feeling of growing a small human inside of you. You really appreciate the things you never think about - like how surreal it is to have your organs rearranged in different places... or how it feels to have an internal karate class in session from 4-6am... my body is doing some incredible things. I’ve lived my life within the most unconventional means. I’ve been to 88 countries, resided in 4, I’ve traveled the world playing and working with my favorite bands and people. With this kind of life comes incredible sacrifice. That was my understanding ... until this little bat chose me to be his mummy and gifted me purpose... now I have no idea how I lived so long without it. To the only lifelong adventure I’ve been completely certain of .... the biggest sacrifice yet, for the most rewarding return. My best accomplishment yet, and we are just getting started. I look forward to teaching you sound design, packing you lunches with sweet notes inside, making your Halloween costumes, and showing you so much of the world even I have yet to see. I can’t wait for all the lessons you are going to teach us, for the growth we will have together. 8 more weeks or so, baby bat.
