🧁Just Desserts🎂 Inside the cake: For the final runway I wanted to revisit my drag roots and revamp one of my favorite looks I ever created: the cake dress. I made the og version with @morganroberttaylor for a #dragnation performance with @anka_shayne. It was built out of hula hoops and tape, covered with fabric, & finished by putting real frosting (and a sparkler on my head) BUUUUT... I knew the upgrade would need to be A LOT more durable and was luckily referred to the incredibly talented @athel_artistry! They engineered this insane collapsible structure and delicious gown that takes 45 mins to assemble each time I wear it (so she’s an occasion)! And of course I forced @dougyills and all of my friends to spend a week or two stoning it at all sorts of uncomfortable angles on my kitchen floor I finished the look by creating a frosting wig out of layers of insulation foam, dry brushing it a sickly pink with gold shimmers, and stoning my lips to look like they’re made of sprinkles. Ps. The best part was paying homage to ropool by walking the runway in sweatpants and slippers 👹🥲 📸: @finnjames666 #AS7
