Ready for a painting challenge? 🖌️ This week, @Katie_Moody guides us through painting outdoors - just like #PaulCezanne. 🌳 Inspired by The EY Exhibition: Cezanne at Tate Modern, we’re inviting you to share your still life artwork for the chance to have your work shown at #TateLates in November. 🎉🎨 Cezanne was known for his study of the known and the familiar. Without doubt, his favourite landscape subject was Mont Sainte-Victoire, a mountain in Southern France, which he painted more than 80 times. ⛰️ He used a small range of colours, lightweight dismountable easels, primed (ready to paint) canvases, and tubes of oil-based paints and tins of watercolours. These enabled him to work quickly on paintings outdoors. 🍂 Why not give it a go yourself? ✏️ You could use paint, pencil, ink, charcoal... or even a camera!
