Before my attempted murder became public knowledge, a political friend of mine asked me: “Are you really sure you want to use your platform for this?” The only answer was yes. I was tired of presenting a public image of “perfection” while living through hell because the criminal system had me in a silencing choke hold for 3 years. I hated living that lie. So thank you to the public for embracing my heavy, hard and dark truth. Grateful to my industry for supporting me and grateful for this cover piece. And mostly, I’m grateful for every survivor who’s trusted my team and I with the worst days of their lives.
