To the world we dream about AND the one we live in now. Cause right now, we’re livin it 🥂 . 1st: May 24 2024. Graduation. 2nd: July 2021. 4 months after deciding I was going to SSC 3rd: Sept 6 2022. Orientation day 4th: March 9 2023. MOSES opens 5th: Dec 30 2023. MOC closes . I chose this quote because I resonate so deeply with the struggle of idealism. I have a perfect little picture of how the world could be. How MY world could be. Our wonderful constud leads Haleigh and Mikey were tasked with giving us words and scriptures that we can hold on to. Whether it’s a title we have rejected, a lesson we learned (or are still learning), or a gift. I received “Visionary.” I’ll place the verse in the comments as I’m currently staying with my family and don’t have it with me (already losing my “good student” skills). Looking back at this small 17 year old girl that is dead terrified and unsure of the future, recalling the hopes and dreams, the daily prayers for acceptance and fingers so tightly crossed that her knuckles ached white, I am so proud of what she did. We aren’t the same. Maybe we’re not even better. In fact, I miss many of the qualities that I’ve grown away from. The one sure thing that I hold onto is that I knew right there in July of ‘21, deep down, that this dream was one I was going to work for and deserve. I’m so grateful that God granted me the opportunity to see this vision through. All the way through. And the best part is this: we never have to stop! I can. Not. Wait.
