I’ve not been a very good instagrammer recently. You know, I feel torn by this platform that so readily needs us for capital, then gives up our information to law enforcement as we try and protect our bodies and lives. Yet here I am, weeks later sharing this complicated feeling and my content. The summer has been growth filled - with joy, love, friends, grief and research. Going home feels more complicated than ever with that in-between knowing of past, recent & personal diasporic movements, omnipresent. Time in Italy, and of course Venice transformed Jennelle and I. How is it so that the sea calls to us, the Mediterranean Sea holding our Black bodies just like the Atlantic? And then the duppies in the cave finding us no matter where we are. We are never lost.
