Before you arrived earthside, I was in a different headspace, praying to be “chosen” in a completely different capacity. God knew what I truly needed, for months I would see 3 birds on the power lines, flying together, in the trees. I met you in a dream, in a lush afrofuturistic rainforest. I ritually bathed you in a turquoise pool before walking you up the Ziggurat, cutting down vines & moss, through the doorway of light at the top. With my new mission, surviving no longer felt sustainable, I knew I had to thrive for you. To show you the colors of life, and lead by example in the brave direction of dreams and aspirations. I knew I had (still have to) to heal my inner child to parent yours. I knew you would be a precocious Leo handful because your dad and I are VERY strong-minded.
