It is my great pleasure to share my latest short film, ALMOST WINTER. *[LINK IN BIO]* This one feels like a big weight off my shoulders. We shot this film before the pandemic, and have been tinkering away at it for some time now. This story means a lot to me, and finishing the film challenged me in many ways — particularly my desire for perfection, which I’ve learned a lot from. In the end, I’m very proud of our imperfect, heartfelt short. It is a love letter to my former professor and dear friend Michael Keenan, who passed away last year. I hope it resonates for anyone who knew him, and anyone who has struggled with not knowing what their next step should be. May we all be so lucky to have a mentor and a friend like Michael. Many thanks to our amazing team — the cast & crew who braved the NYC cold and brought the story to life, the post-production wizards who elevated the film and patiently worked with me as I second guessed every decision, and our incredibly generous and supportive kickstarter backers, without whom we wouldn’t have been able to finish the film.
