We wish all our Muslim colleagues, clients, and friends a very happy, blessed, and joyful Eid ul Adha as Muslims around the world celebrate the festival of sacrifice this weekend. Eid ul Adha is an occasion to focus on purifying and improving the self, and a time of sharing and donating to those in need with the gifting of food, particularly meat, which has traditionally been considered the most expensive kind of food and the highest offering. After two years of closures and limitations, this is the first year that the hajj - the pilgrimage to Makkah that all Muslims try to undertake once in their lives - is slowly returning to its scale of millions of pilgrims. During Eid, there will be much joy and celebration, alongside reflection and prayer. New clothes, gifts, togetherness and of course lots of eating and big gatherings will once again be enjoyed by Muslims who after two years of lockdowns and restrictions will be able to gather and celebrate.
