If kids live there, kids can visit, that’s my motto. So often I’m asked if if XYZ place is kid-friendly and my answer is always if I’d feel safe going there, I’d take my kids because what does kid-friendly mean anyway? What one kids enjoys another may not but one things for sure you can have fun anywhere in the world! [Save + Share this post]
Jordyn’s first flight was at 6 weeks old, I took Kennedy on her first international trip at 10 weeks, to Cartagena and Medellin, Colombia.
We went to Thailand and Singapore when the girls were 11 months and 2 years old.
I took Kennedy to Australia at 8 months, I even went diving in the Great Barrier Reef, thanks to my friends who watched her while I was under.
We went to Kenya when the girls were 2 and 4 and went on multiple safaris.
They went zip-lining for the first time at 2 and 3 years old in Costa Rica. They’ve surfed, parasailed, gone hang-gliding, snowmobiled and so much more. If you want to go somewhere and take your kids, take them. As long as the tours/activities you want to do while in the destination allow your kids to join and you want to take them on the trip, keep living your life! Kids are living and thriving all over the world.
I have the itinerary for every trip we’ve taken on our website to make it easy for you to plan your trips and know what tour companies we used, where we stayed, etc. Just click the link in bio or go to www.thetravelingchild.co, you can type the city or country you want in the search bar or use the drop down tabs to find destinations broken down by countries and states.
What’s a place you traveled to with kids people were in shock about but you had an amazing time?
