Heading South! After a tremendous weekend of performances with Long Beach Opera, I’m excited to rejoin the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra this week as I bring some Hollywood to Georgia. In addition to the music of John Williams, John Barry, Bernard Herrmann, David Shire, and Alan Silvestri, I called up John Powell, Pinar Toprak, and Kris Bowers and asked them to assemble some of their recent scores to be premiered and performed for the first time outside of the scoring stages and concert halls of Los Angeles. We’re premiering music from John’s riveting score to “Call of the Wild”, Pinar’s epic and lush score to “Lost City”, and Kris Bowers’ gorgeous medley from “King Richard”. Then I’ll return to LA juuuust in time to record Anthony Davis’ score to The Central Park Five. I look forward to catching up with my friends in Atlanta this week!
